The Corvette

Some friends of ours gave this Corvette to Phoenix about a week after Christmas. He LOVES it. He wants to drive it non stop. It has some pretty good power. Here he is taking our neighbor Taylor for a spin.

Christmas 2007

We went to the great northwest for Christmas this year..... We flew in to Seattle, Washington ( I have two sisters who live there ) then we drove down to Oregon ( My parents and two other sisters live there )

We had a good time and got pretty spoiled by everyone.

Best Birthday Present in the World

The quilt I am holding is my birthday gift that my wife surprised me with for my 27th birthday.

From 1996 to 1999 while attending college, I purchased t-shirts from various fraternity events. When I graduated, I put them in an old pillowcase and moved them from San Marcos to Sumitt, to Modena, to Stassney, to Bannock and finally here to Montoya Circle. I actually had plans to teach myself to quilt and about two months ago mentioned to Tara, "hey have you seen the pillowcase with my old tshirts."

I don't know how she pulled it off, but in her last few weeks of being pregnant she was able to cut my tshirts into squares and make the quilt without me ever figuring out what she was doing. I was so sick on my birthday that I did not even open my present until the 2nd and when I pulled it out, I was so happy that I was brought to tears.

Hopefully, when Phoenix is ready to go to BYU, he can take it with him.

Congratulations Katie!!!

Our very good friend Katie just finished a grueling year of school to receive her RN. I can not believe all the work she had and how time consuming her program was. We are SO proud of you Katie!!!

My little sister Jeni came for two weeks in November to help out with Phoenix while we had the baby. Also one of my favorite people Tara Salinas came for a week. It was awesome. They were so much fun to hang out with and they were both SO much help with Phoenix. Thank you both....We could not have done it without you!!! We love you.

Visit from our cousins

My sister Brandi, her husband Eric and their three kids Amara, Sully, and Finnigan came to visit from Seattle for two weeks. We had a lot of fun. Phoenix LOVED playing with all his cousins.

Zion Storm Morgan

Well it finally happened. Zion Storm Morgan joined our family on Friday November 16th at 10:56am. He weighed 8 pounds 12 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long. He is amazing. We love him so much and are SO grateful for all of our blessings.

The "Butt Paste" Bicyclist!!

The other morning a friend of mine stopped by and I was in the front room talking to her. Phoenix was in the family room. I could see him and I kept looking in a him, but let me just say it only takes a 2 year old about 30 seconds to get into trouble.

He comes walking into the front room saying..."See mommy, See?" I turn around and he is COVERED in butt paste. I wanted to get mad but I just couldn't. I called upstairs to Byron and had him come look and Byron, myself and my friend were all just laughing.

Sometimes you have to laugh or you would just cry!! Oh 2 year olds!

Also I put a picture of Phoenix's new bike. He loves it. He thinks he has to wear his helmet to ride it.

Baby Shower

Byron's office had a baby shower for us the other day. It was a lot of fun and good to get to meet all of his employees. I think this is one of the only pictures of Byron and I together since I got pregnant with Zion.
